About

I'm a Sheffield based artist, working in photography, video, sound and sculpture.

My photographic practice is about altering and adapting sculptural spaces to generate new contexts that opens up unfamiliar connections and new narratives.   Through the use of symbolism and orderliness, my work is created out of personal interests, and is informed by a celebrative use of craft, spontaneity and decision making.

My practice draws on my past career as a contemporary furniture maker, working mainly in European hardwoods. The workshop philosophy was based on design being an expression of form, function and material choice.

My video's are a collage of abstractions from urban architecture and made fictional scenarios that I  edit together.  The soundtracks are made from my own electronic compositions along with found sounds that respond to the imagery.
